Locations for the 2025 IFDC Enumerator Recruitment:

IFDC is hiring for positions in the following Northern states:

  • Adamawa
  • Kano

  • Sokoto

Job Description

As a Field Enumerator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting surveys and interviews with farmers, households or agricultural stakeholders
  • Using mobile data collection tools such as KoboCollect, SurveyCTO, or ODK
  • Ensuring accurate and complete data entry
  • Communicating findings with supervisors in Hausa and English
  • Following strict ethical standards and data collection protocols

This role is field-based, and may involve travel to rural or semi-urban areas depending on the assignment.

IFDC Field Enumerator Recruitment Requirements 2025

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:

Applicants must hold any of the following degrees:

  • HND, B.Sc., or M.Sc. in related disciplines:
    • Economics
    • Agricultural Economics
    • Development Economics
    • Development Studies
    • Sociology
    • Statistics

2. Technical Skills Required:

  • Hands-on experience with mobile survey apps such as:
    • Kobo Collect
    • SurveyCTO
    • ODK (Open Data Kit)
  • Strong familiarity with smartphones or tablets for data gathering

3. Language Proficiency:

  • Excellent command of English and Hausa (spoken and written)

4. Location Preference:

  • Applicants residing in Kano, Adamawa, Jigawa or Sokoto are preferred
  • Knowledge of the local environment and communities is a major advantage
